Look for the Sycamore Cove gate across PCH from Sycamore Canyon Road on the ocean side.
Parking opens at 8 a.m. $12 pays for the whole day, a bargain for beach parking. The run starts at 8:15.

It’s often safest to use the underpass of PCH shown below …
… and meet by the bathrooms on the other side.
