Park in the unpaved area beginning to the right of the SUV in this pic.
Along the shoulder is also legal if you park completely off-road and display a pass.
A single-day Adventure Pass is available for $5 (Card Only) outside the info kiosk. Forest Service says the kiosk is currently unstaffed.
A National Parks annual pass works for parking as well.
PortaPotty by kiosk. No potable water.
It’s a short walk to the trailhead, the yellow gate near the 35 mph curve sign (see below).
Trail climbs from 3365 to 5469 above sea level.
